The Kentucky Humane Society (KHS) is embarking on a landmark project: a new Animal & Community Campus, located in the 4900-block of Preston Highway in Louisville, KY. 
This state-of-the-art facility will span approximately 54,000 square feet of indoor space plus additional outdoor covered areas, enabling a 30% expansion in dog and cat housing, an estimated 7,000+ annual adoptions, 13,000 spay/neuter surgeries, and 6,000 low-cost veterinary appointments—bringing together a full suite of animal and community services under one roof.

Calhoun was excited to embark on this partnership with the KHS.  This new state-of-the-art facility was designed to support its mission of animal care and community engagement.  The new building includes a full-service clinic, indoor/outdoor dog runs, a patio, adoption and foster areas, and an outbuilding designated for food drop-off.  Additionally, the facility features a rooftop terrace for employee use and special gatherings, enhancing both functionality and staff well-being.
