UofL JB Speed Tunnel Repair
The University of Louisville, partnership with Calhoun construction, undertook a significant infrastructure project with the repair of the tunnel beneath Eastern Parkway, a vital conduit for the J.B. Speed School of Engineering. This initiative involved replacing the steam and chilled water piping systems, upgrading tunnel lighting, and performing essential structural repairs to ensure the tunnel’s long-term functionality and safety. These upgrades were part of the university’s broader efforts to modernize campus facilities and support the engineering school’s mission of providing cutting-edge education and research opportunities.
