The Kentucky Center for the Arts Bid Package 1 – Security project consists primarily of a full replacement of the existing building-wide fire alarm system and targeted interior modifications that improve life safety, access control, and security. Work includes removing and installing all new fire alarm devices, wiring, and infrastructure, along with patching and refinishing interior surfaces impacted by device removal and installation. In addition, new partitions, doors, and access-controlled separations are added within the street-level lobby to clearly distinguish public access from building/staff access, supported by updated card readers, hardware, and elevator access control reprogramming.
