Hallway Feeds Solar Project

Lexington, KY

Hallway Feeds, a family-owned equine nutrition company based in Lexington, Kentucky, has significantly advanced its sustainability initiatives with the completion of a large-scale solar energy project. This installation now supplies approximately 90% of the facility’s electricity needs, marking a substantial shift toward renewable energy sources.

The solar project is part of a broader three-stage initiative aimed at reducing the company’s environmental footprint. By generating 635 megawatts annually (approximately 1,735 kWh per day), the system significantly decreases reliance on the traditional power grid.

Calhoun provided the digging, concrete piling, installation of solar racking systems, installation of solar modules, DC wiring and ground wire.
