We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Quality Manager to join our dynamic team.  Calhoun is growing rapidly and needs energetic, ambitious people to help us grow.

Responsibilities:

Quality Control Planning: develop and implement comprehensive quality control plans for construction projects. Collaborate with PMs, engineers and subcontractors to integrate quality control procedures into project plans.

Inspections and audits: conduct regular on-site inspections to ensure compliance with project specs and quality standards. Perform audits of construction processes, materials, and workmanship to identify and address potential issues.

Documentation and reporting: maintain accurate and detailed records of all inspections, tests and corrective actions taken. Prepare and submit comprehensive reports outlining quality control findings, recommendations and status updates.

Collaboration: work closely with project teams to address and resolve quality-related issues promptly. Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure they adhere to quality control requirements.

Training and awareness: conduct training sessions to educate project teams on quality control processes and standards. Foster a culture of quality awareness and accountability throughout the organization.

Regulatory compliance: stay informed about industry regulations, codes, and standards relevant to construction quality control.  Ensure that projects comply with local, state and federal regulations.

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering/construction management, or equivalent work experience
  • Five (5) or more years proven experience in construction quality control management
  • In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods and best practices
  • Strong understanding of industry regulations and standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to lead and collaborate with diverse project teams
  • Certifications such as Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or similar are a plus
