ANNOUNCING FAST 50: Meet the fastest-growing private companies in Louisville for 2024

Louisville Business First’s Fast 50 awards program celebrates the 50 fastest-growing private companies in Greater Louisville in terms of revenue.

This is the 25th year for the program, celebrating the success of area businesses.

In our list of 50 companies this year, there are 13 with over $100 million in 2023 revenue. The total combined 2023 revenue for our 50 companies this year is $4 billion.

(Considering that we lost one of Louisville’s largest private companies and participant in the 2023 fastest-growing companies list when BrightSpring Health Services (Nasdaq: BTSG) became a public company earlier this year, that combined 2023 revenue is amazing.)

Besides the total revenue, the top six companies had revenue growth from 2021-23 of over 500% and one over 1,000%.

(Last year, we had some of the highest growth I have seen working on this project over the years. The top five companies had growth over 1,000%.)

There are 19 companies on this year’s Fast 50 list that did not make the list of 50 last year.

Our 50 companies represent all types of industries from health and wellness brands, insurance services, construction, advertising/marketing, manufacturing, distribution and more.

For our program, Fast 50 companies on our list must be independent, for-profit and privately held and have three full years of operating sales history. All nominees must agree to have annual revenue figures published in LBF.

We calculate the revenue information submitted by entrants, and the companies with the greatest percentage of revenue growth from 2021-23 made the list.

Businesses with more than $5 million in revenue in 2023 are included.

These fast-growing companies are headquartered in Bullitt, Henry, Jefferson, Meade, Nelson, Oldham, Shelby, Spencer and Trimble counties in Kentucky and Clark, Floyd, Harrison and Washington counties in Southern Indiana.

We will celebrate all these companies and reveal where each of the 50 rank at our annual Fast 50 luncheon Oct. 22 at the Kentucky International Convention Center and in print and online Oct. 25 There will be more to come on the event at a later date.
