The Commercial Solar Sales Representative will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our solar power division. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, cultivating customer relationships, and providing technical expertise to customers and executives. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in solar energy systems coupled with exceptional sales and leadership skills.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to penetrate new markets and expand the company’s solar business
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the solar division, ensuring a deep understanding of solar power systems, products, and industry trends
  • Collaborate with the field team to create customized solar solutions based on customer needs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, contractors, and leadership
  • Identify and understand customer requirements, offering technical insights and solutions to meet their energy needs
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to inform strategic decision-making
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of emerging technologies
  • Conduct regular training sessions for the solar division on new products, technical features, and sales techniques
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the organization

Requirements:

  • 5+ years related experience
  • Must have commercial construction background
  • Background in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business, or related field preferred
  • Proven experience in technical sales, with a focus on solar energy systems preferred
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • In-depth technical knowledge of solar power systems and related technologies
  • Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Required to travel locally to customers and potential customers
